Adventures in "Leaders and Enders" Land...

While pinning up some squares at Tuesday night meeting, I was trying to explain what the blocks looked like and why I was calling them leaders and enders. Well, that came from taking 2 1/2" squares of WOW fabric (white on white) and sew them together in pairs with the 2 1/2" squares I've cut from scraps. I have the squares sitting in a basket near my sewing machine to start a new seam and end a seam when sewing my regular quilt projects. They get ironed when I iron my project and put back into the basket to either join together or sew on the 1 1/2" strips for sashing. They measure 6 1/2" finished.

What a nice thing to have on hand to whip together for a quick baby quilt or lap throw!
