A few things I would like you to remember for the upcoming season--
I brought up a conversation I had with Mary Ellen earlier this year for an additional way to donate to a worthy cause. Mary Ellen suggested a auction, whether live or silent, using donations from members of sewing supplies, fabrics, magazines, books, sewing notions, etc. While a firm date hasn't been set up (probably during the summer so we can have another garden party), just be aware so when you are cleaning up your sewing room or attic to put the items in a box and give them to me. If they are small items, we will probably fill small boxes with a nice mixture of items and you can bid by the box. Of course, don't forget fabric scraps! They can go into a "mystery box" where you bid on them without peeking! How much fun is that?
The PTQG meeting for Sept. 11th will have door prizes donated by Area 3. Since we do not have an Area 3 representative, we need to mentally remember to join the other chapters in our area to insure a successful event. If you have something you would like to donate, you can give it to me to hold for the meeting.
