Tuesday's Show and Tell

Here is a picture of Janney's pillow, named "Sarah's Star" to be put into the silent auction at the Augusta show. Janney, how much are you going to bid to get it back?

We also collectively tossed around a few ideas to make our meetings a bit more fun, such as a fat quarter (FQ) swap one for one or FQ lottery with one winner. I mean, Marden's has them for .59 cents each, so it shouldn't be a hardship for anyone who wants to participate. Another idea was 5" square exchanges and holding several special workshops with a member teaching a new technique, such as the 4-patch stacker or making quilted vests or jackets. I will set up a poll to see what you might be interested in and let you know the results. Let's turn our Tuesday evenings up a notch and add to our stash at the same time!

On another note, we also tossed around ideas for next year's challenge of using the same quilt pattern, but letting each of us "interpret" it in our own way, whether pieced, appliqued or paper-pieced. What do you think?
