Okay ladies, I for one am tired of climbing into the cape attic to search my stash collection, soooooooooooooo I figured I needed to take the bull by the horns, stop crying about it and do something! Off to Best Buy I went for two pantry storage units and I was able to put about 60% of my fabrics at my fingertips. My 30's fabrics are still in shoe boxes above my desk, Christmas, flannels, babies, solids and novelties are still in bins (and don't even get me started on my multi-bins of scraps!); my strips are in plastic bins and need to be sorted by color. Nickels, UFO's, etc. are still in the attic along with my batting and large backing pieces. I did take all my larger pieces, measure them for yardage and took a snippet of the fabric and marked on a sheet I will keep in the cabinet for quick reference.
I know I'm not there yet, but at least I made a significant dent! While making wonky heart blocks for a friend last night, it was so nice to open the cabinet and peruse my red collection! Ah, life IS good!
