Apparently, an SOS has gone out for sewing thread for the students, but why stop there? Ladies, this is the time to clean out your sewing room of no longer used threads, buttons, trims, scraps, patterns--whatever you think a young sewer/quilter can use. From what I understand, they will be doing a crazy quilt project, so beads, laces, metallic threads, etc. will be needed.
Bring in your goodies and I will collect them for the time being. Once the school year begins, we hope to have a nice collection of items to donate to the students. We all know the school budgets are tight, so this will be a welcomed gift. If you have too much to bring to the meetings, either call me to pick up or leave in your car and we can transfer into my car after the meeting. Give till it hurts!
P.S. We hope to do a "Show and Tell" trunk show and make up packets for an applique class for the students this fall. If we cannot go to the school, perhaps they can come to us!
