Sagaree to speak at Lewiston Library on March 26th

Our very own Sagaree Sengupta will be giving a program of readings from her newly translated into English "The Diary of a Maidservant" written by Hindi novelist Krishna Baldev Vaid. Sagaree has been working on this project for many years, and I am sure we all send her our best wishes on this major accomplishment--we are all so proud of you!

For more details on the story of the book itself, you will want to attend and hear the trials of class divisions and relationships told by Shanti, a young domestic woman by journaling. I for one cannot wait to read her inner thoughts and views on life through her writings.

The program will be held at 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, March 26th in the Couture Room on the first floor of the Lewiston Library at 200 Lisbon St. For more information, you may call them at 513.3135. This is free to the public.
