Thanks to The Fabric Den & Mariner's Compass Quilt Shop

Our group decided to take in The Fabric Den Quilt Shop in Brunswick prior to stopping at Linda's apartment. While initally we walked into the shop and thought it small, it was filled with charm and a very helpful owner who was very pleasant to deal with. She took the time to show us her latest projects and share about the fabrics on sale (batiks at $4.00 at yard!) and also gave us a 25% discount instead of the 15% she promised when I spoke to her. Top that off with free patterns AND a nice fat quarter, and you have one very satisified customer! I know I will certainly stop in again soon!

The Mariner's Comapass Quilt Shop was ready and willing to help us with our questions and promply cut and cashed us out. The sale closet yielded several new books I "had" to have, and my treasure of the day was 2 yds. each of five 30's solid cottons. I bet you didn't feel these fabrics, but what a nice hand they had to them! After this visit, we checked out several other shops in the area, a cooking shop, Reny's, Made in Maine, and had a cup of coffee and a free chocolate-dipped jumbo strawberry at a local chocolatier.

If you are in the area again, please stop by and check these shops out. You won't be sorry!
