Anatomy of a Balloon Landing

Can you image awaking to the wooshing sounds of a hot-air balloon landing in YOUR backyard? Denise S. did today. In fact, the balloon landed in her backyard and then went back up to land again right over the metal fencing (apparently easier access to the truck for pickup).

Balloon goes up and lands again over the fence

I guess they didn't want to smash the garden!

Time to deflate

It sure doesn't time much time for this balloon to go down

Down, down, down she goes...

Apparently John needs to supervise this event

Here comes the fun part--they deflate and then roll on top of the balloon to remove all the remaining hot air

Easy Peasy! All they had left to do is fold up in a snake-fashion and bag up for the next trip!
Usually we have several balloons landing in the nearby lot behind Holy Family Church, but this balloon and another on our next street over. It certainly beats the alarm going off!
