Quiltville Website-Patterns To Use Without Permission Necessary

As most of you know, I am a BIG fan of Quiltville and Bonnie Hunter. She has inspired me to make several of her quilts for donations, five last year alone and two more in the works. Bonnie is the QUEEN of the scrap quilt, especially recycling used clothing. While she has many patterns to use on her website, she also has several books (and two more in the printing stages) to get the creative juices flowing. There is even a Quiltville Yahoo group who partake of her many patterns and mystery quilts.

Sue asked me to post that the Quiltville site allows you to use her patterns to show or donations, HOWEVER, you must print off the page with the date and URL clearly printed on the top (or bottom) of the page in order to send it in with your submission. Yes, Sue, it would be nice if more designers offered this to their followers.

Good news! Bonnie will be coming to Maine in 2013! Mark your calendars for a workshop on Friday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 5th. She will also be having a lecture/trunk show at the state meeting on Saturday, May 4th. While she and I have emailed back and forth several times, it will be such an honor to finally meet one of my all-time favorite quilters! I guarantee that once you hear her speak you will see each small scrap of fabric in a new light.
