Holiday Party 2011
Bring together food and friends and you have a party! We had a full house tonight at Marco's, along with our three latest members. A big CQOLA welcome to Jackie Lessard, Pam Allen and Jessica Hafford. We all look forward to you sharing your quilting knowledge and time-saving tips!
In lieu of our traditional Yankee swap, we spent the time discussing the current copyright rules for showing or donating quilts. We also viewed color samples for our show challenge project. After a delicious supper, we had several door prizes and show and tell.
The photo of Giselle show her yo-yo scarf and, are you sitting down, a rose clutch designed and made by her daughter! Very impressive work, ladies. And not to be outdone, Yolanda shared the quilt in process for her grandbaby, Sol. The picture doesn't do the top justice and we can't wait to see how she plans to quilt it. Our "Dr.S." is now designing handbags. This is our model showing off her work (note her name on the front). Very unique and colorful--just like you, Sagaree. While I physically didn't bring the quilt to the dinner, here is a photo of the king-size quilt made for my mother.
Back to our black and white project, here are a link that might inspire you. The first one is Exuberant Color and the second is a K. F. dream, Glorious Color
