Quality Long Arm Quilting

As you know, I belong to HGTV boards and we are winding down our second annual Crayola Challenge quilt raffle. We have approximately 34 quilters participating in this event. This year, we were drawn one Crayola color (I got Bluegreen) and got to pick only one more color to use--I grabbed Inchworm, a lime green. This has always been my favorite color and the two colors are super together.

Well, we all know how life gets in the way. While I had purchased my fabrics, washed and ironed them, they sat as three other Christmas quilts had to be finished. Imagine my shock when I thought the deadline for the finished quilts to arrive downsouth was the middle of February, when actually it was the 1st of February! Yikes! I didn't even have a firm pattern selected yet. Suffice to say I went for easy and completed the top in four days. Since these quilts represent our group, we want to ensure they are top quality in construction materials and quilting.

Bonnie (know as Bingo Bonnie on HGTV for the game of the same name she runs a yearly event using FQ's) told us about a LA quilter she sent a quilt to in Maine and how impressed she was with her work. When I asked Bonnie where she lived, she said "Gorham" like it was the end of the earth for me. I chuckled when I told her it was only 30 or so miles away and I contacted Margaret immediately. Not only did I mail her the quilt (it arrived on Tuesday--I picked it up on Saturday!), but gave her complete creative license in her design. She knew they were going to charity and quilted something I hate to give away. I dropped off another quilt to her and have two more in the pipeline to finish and drop off.

I would post a picture of the quilt, but I want to wait and show it off at the show and tell in Augusta on the 30th. If I am lucky, perhaps I will also have the second one back by then (I told her not to bother to rush it!). You might want to check out her website at:
