Calico Quilters of Yarmouth have extended to us a generous offer to attend their area 1 meeting on Monday, Oct. 19th at the Casco Lodge (Masonic Hall), 20 Mill St. in Yarmouth from 6:30-9:00 p.m. The theme is the "History of New England--The Mill Girls." Guest speaker is Kathy Kenny, textile historian. The vendor will be Cotton Weeds Quilt Shop of Freeport.
The features are:
*Social time is 6:30-7:00 p.m.

*Refreshments will be served
*Raffle-Singer Quantum XL 1000 Sewing Machine--tickets are $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00.
The drawing will be on April 17, 2010 at the Calico Quilt Show.

*Charitable Donations--A collection will be taken to support the New England Quilt Museum, a non-profit organization in Lowell, MA. (Cash and/or checks will be gratefully accepted. Make checks payable to New England Quilt Museum for a tax deduction on your 2009 tax return.)
Cotton Weeds purchases can be made during the social time, at the break and following the show and tell.
Directions:
Take I-295 South to Exit 17, Yarmouth, merge right onto US Rte. 1 South. Travel 1 mile ont Rte. 1, exit right onto School St. and follow to end (traffic light).
Turn right at light onto Main St. (ME-115) and travel 2 miles (cross RR tracks). Turn right onto Mill St. Turn left after first house on left and enter Casco Lodge driveway and park behind the lodge.
