X-Bag Workshop Class

On Saturday, May 30th, Giselle will be teaching us how to make the X-Bag. Diane has again offered us the opportunity to use the classroom at the Dingley School on Oak St. in Lewiston. Bring your sewing machine, extension cords, etc. Class time is 9-2, so bring your lunch and a drink.

Giselle has asked that we pre-fuse the interfacing to the fabric and cut the pieces prior to arriving at class. Be sure to bring along the remaining fabric and any interfacing to the class. She also wanted you to know that we will be using View 2 pattern (on page 3 of the directions) and that the first fabric is defined as the "lining", tab and back of bag. So, you will need a total of 1 1/3 yds. of this fabric. If you want to use Velcro for the closure and a button for trim, that's fine. Just a note that Joann's sells magnetized closures that work perfect for this bag located in the section where the bag handles are located. Also, be sure to use the interfacing on the tab so that it will have a bit more strength to handle the weight of the snap.

If you have any questions, please contact Giselle.
