National Quilting Day Potluck Luncheon

Ladies, you couldn't have asked for a nicer day with the three f's--food, fabric and friends! Carole hosted a delicious potluck luncheon in her beautiful home but there was work that needed to be done before eating! The green sashing border was handsewn onto the quilt blocks and now only the appliqued border is left to put on. Well, we must have done a great job as the meal was worth all the hard work. What I want to know is why they say quilters don't like to cook! You couldn't tell by the varied selections from which to choose from. After many of us asking for the recipes, I suggested the ladies send it to me and I will email them out and also post in a section on the blog for future reference.

Another treat was going through the fabrics to select to bring home. Lots of pretties for everyone. However, after getting home I noticed a block that I saw on the center table was one that goes with the quilt kit I took, so I would love to get it back so the quilt will not run short!

Thank you to Carole and also everyone who participated in making this one of those really good days that are few and far between!
