Lisa Blake of Cote's was good enough to call me back and update the information given to me by Anita earlier.
*No food or drink, except water, inside the lecture area. We will be sitting at round tables-10 per table. There will be coffee offered BEFORE the show, but it cannot go inside the room. So, eat your breakfast before coming. Water and hard candy will be offered at each table.
*There will be breaks, but no coffee or food products will be available.
*There is a light lunch of "make-your-own" sandwiches of roast beef, roasted turkey and ham with cheeses, potato and pasta salad, chips, dessert, coffee, tea, soda and bottled water. Bring any extras you might want to add to your lunch, such as chocolate. They hope to have lunch served around noon.
*The show starts around 8:30-8:45, depending on how quickly people can be seated. Lisa has asked that we do not arrive before 8:00 a.m. to allow them time to set up that morning.
*Lisa says they will have fall and holiday charm packs and kits for sale, but no fabric on the bolt. Look for some show specials!
*Alex's books and patterns will be on sale and for her to autograph. Lisa told me if you buy two, you get one free. Such a great bargain! You can bring in your own patterns/books for Alex to autograph, but be sure to keep them in a separate bag and I would advise you to mark your books with an address label or your name written in ink to prove it is yours.
*YOU MUST BRING YOUR TICKET TO GET IN THE SHOW! NO EXCEPTIONS! No tickie, no laundry. There will be a table where you check in and give your ticket, you get a name tag and a goodie bag. Cote's will be offering over $1500 worth of give aways and door prizes! Keep your fingers crossed!
*The AA show will be focused on her love of quilting, giving a bit about her history and what led her to where she is today, her many quilting travels, sewing demonstrations and a trunk show of her quilts. Remember, she will also be taking breaks during the show, so the Cote people will be filling in to show you the latest machines they offer, among them the NEW Bernina 830 and NEW Bernina 8 Series Quilt Frame. Wait until you see this frame-it glides so nicely!
*You can bring along your handwork, but bring a baggie for your thread scraps!
Last reminder--don't forget your ticket, tissues, chocolate, camera, pen and your AA books!
