Quilt Show at LHS

As many of us can attest to, the students at Lewiston High School, under the guidance of teacher Linda Kivus, have every right be be very proud of their sewing and quilting skills. During the show on Tuesday, May 6th, the young ladies shared with us their many striking quilts and crazy quilt bags and pillow projects. While the rail fence and kissing nine patch were the most popular patterns, it was fun to see how each one of them interpreted the pattern in their fabric choices. Linda said that many of the students are seniors, and are making their quilts for their future dorm rooms. It was nice to know that our next generation of quilt makers are pursuing their passion with this form of art. Bravo!
