Sometimes fate takes over the best laid plans, and this is one of those times. Linda, about to be a new grandmother again (she already has a beautiful 18-month-old granddaughter, Eva) by her son and daughter-in-law. Apparently little "Natalee" is taking her sweet time joining her anxiously awaiting family. Due the the impending inducement, Linda will be putting her holiday party on the back burner until January. While I know we were all not only looking forward to visiting her and enjoying her hospitality (not to mention the stops to the quilt shops on the way there!), there is another weekend snow storm is expected. I hate to see her go to all that trouble just to have us cancel out on her. Besides, a January party is a perfect time to shake off those rushed holiday parties and shopping to be able to sit down and finally relax and unwind with good food and even better friends!
Linda will be contacting me with more information once she sets a new party date, so check back often to be sure you mark your new 2008 calendar with your "first" quilt party of 2008!
P.S. Look for the quilt Linda made for her new bundle of joy--it's a victorian vintage rose pattern. I will post it as soon as I get it!
