For those of us who attended the August 11th meeting at the home of Giselle, we were certainly greeted to a awe-inspiring visit by several members of Calico Quilters and a guest, who in her own rights, is a true artist!
The ladies, Barbara, Ann, Barbara and their guest, Penny visiting from AZ, shared with us some of their breathtaking applique and pieced work. The photos do not do the many pieces justice. Suffice to say that they are indeed a group of very talented women who are passionate about their craft. Even their guest, Penny, brought with her samples of her handcrafted bookmarks and greeting cards. For a mere pittance, I scooped up a handful of both before anyone else had a chance to grab them.
