With the rain coming down (tears from heaven?), I post this email I just got from Linda:
Dear Classic Quilters--
I am leaving Maine today--heading for Baltimore, where I will meet my
son and family (I haven't seen my grand babies for OVER A MONTH!!) and
we will have a weeks vacation before Nick sails away on his new destroyer, the USS STERETT, for California. Christie, the girls and I will begin our trek
West to join him there. I have not settled on an apartment yet--I want to get there
and see the neighborhood and make sure it is close to their house!
I have loved spending time with all of you and thank you again for opening your arms and hearts (and fabric stashes and patterns) to me when I moved to Maine. The wonderful people of this state are one of the main reasons I am so sad today. I will fly back and spend some time visiting in the future, and hope to see you all then. Also, Carole is going to fly out to see me some time, so you can send your wishes with her at that time!
Love and happy quilting to all of you--
Linda (Nickos) Kaup
Linda, I know I speak for all of us when I say it was a pleasure to meet and spend time with you, and we all wish you only the best in your new adventure! While you will be thousands of miles away, you will remain close in our hearts! Please keep in touch...
