Quilt Q University

Just wanted to share with you a class I took online at Quilt U (http://www.quiltuniversity.com/catalog.htm). It was with Nyla Morrison on Stained Glass quilts. Here is how it works: Check out the calendar of classes offered, sign up for the class using your credit card. Before the starting date of the class, you will get your classroom password and access to the project list needed to begin the class. The class has a start date, but you don't need to be right there at the exact time. You will have access to the website 24/7, so you can download the lessons, read the posts from the teacher and fellow classmates and troubleshoot/share your projects with them. For instance, my class was began April 5th from 9-10 a.m. I went in to introduce myself to all, and read the lesson. You can email the teacher at any time to ask questions/suggestions, send pictures if you are having a problem or just want to share your finished project. The lessons are very straight forward and clear, giving you many different options to use to make your bias and how best to apply it. Once the classes end, they give you an additional week to view the classes' projects or to ask those last-minute questions. It's a great way to learn a new technique without even leaving your home, the flexibility to pick it up when you want to (or have the time to!) and enjoy the input from an expert in their field.

Check out the website and view comments and pictures of past classes you might be interested in. I know that Bethany Reynolds is hosting her "Stack-n-Wack fan" quilt in June that I am planning to sign up for. It doesn't cost anything to read about the classes and believe me when I say they have something for everyone.
